Based in the Sherwood Forest area of Nottinghamshire, I provide bespoke financial planning advice to individuals and businesses in and around the Midlands. I am also qualified to give mortgage advice, specialising in high value mortgages of £500,000+.
You as the client, your family and financial objectives are firmly at the heart of everything I do. Fundamentally I see my approach as one of problem-solving for the client - rather than product-selling. Advice is individually tailored to you; there is no one-size-fits-all solution. This involves looking at your whole personal and financial circumstances rather than just one area of advice, and as a result, my clients can expect to receive the most comprehensive and appropriate advice at all times.
I want my Practice to feel personal, and for my clients to know that I am there to support them with any financial decision. I do this by offering review meetings at intervals of their choosing, and making contact with them on a regular basis. Existing plans are reviewed at these meetings, to ensure that the plan we initially put in place is working for you, and to check that you are on track. Please see the ‘What to Expect’ page for further details of the advice and review process.
I am honest in my approach, believing that products should only be recommended where it is in your best interests.
Major Oak Wealth Management was established in 2017 when I accepted an invitation to join St. James’s Place Wealth Management as an Associate Partner Practice. Prior to this, I spent 6 years working in independent financial advice practices. Before joining the financial services industry, I studied Law with the Open University while I worked part time in a Financial Adviser’s Practice. Originally planning to be a Solicitor, but enjoying working in financial advice, I decided to change my path.
I am committed to ensuring that my industry knowledge remains relevant and current by placing strong emphasis on my personal development. Having completed my Level 4 Diploma in Financial Advice in 2014, I am now continually working on achieving Chartered status. This, along with the pride and dedication that I place on developing solid personal relationships with my clients, ensures that am I able to offer a rounded, professional and principled service.
Outside of my business, I am a keen horse rider, pianist and baker, in addition to keeping fit.
